Becoming Super Humble: The Quest for Integrity

Rev. Caitlin Cotter

Many of us are constantly moving closer to fine.

It’s a difficult thing, embracing who we are we, being okay with ourselves.

Marianne Williamson wrote in her book, A Return To Love,

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. ..
We ask ourselves,
Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.

I love that quote. I love that reminder, that even as we must not puff ourselves up too much, neither does it help anyone to squash ourselves down.
