Visitors and newcomers are invited to gather for a brief introduction to the Unitarian Society. Come, meet other newcomers and learn about the Path to Membership.

Getting Acquainted Class:

If you’ve been visiting us and are ready to learn more about the Unitarian Society of Santa Barbara, join our Assistant Minister, Rev Julia Hamilton and our Membership Coordinator, Nica Guinn for this class.

This fun and informational session is an enjoyable way to meet others and discover more about the Unitarian Society of Santa Barbara. Get familiar with our campus, find out more about who we are and how you might get connected.

This class is a brief introduction to our history, worship,programming and facilities. Explore questions such as:

  • How long has this congregation existed?
  • Has this building always been the Unitarian Society?
  • What holidays and celebrations can I look forward to?
  • What if I was raised in another tradition?
  • Where do classes and religious education programs meet?
  • What are common symbols and traditions of Unitarian Universalism?
  • How do I get to know other members of the congregation better?
  • Does this congregation do community outreach?
