The Unitarian Society of Santa Barbara two Sunday morning services at 9:15 and 11 AM. On Suday, January 15, the Rev. Julia Hamilton will speak. Her sermon is titled A New Spirit Rising. Our worship theme for January is Justice.

Sunday's Music features the Women's Choral singing Sing to Me by Ramsey for the prelude and the spiritual, Turn Me Around, for the offertory.

Reverend Jessica Vaughan Lower graduated from Princeton Seminary in 2006 and was ordained in the Presbyterian (USA) faith shortly thereafter. She served as Associate Minister for Youth and Young Adults at a 2000 member church in Westchester, Pennsylvania and also served as Pastor to the Beverly Hills Presbyterian Church in suburban Philadelphia. She currently resides in Santa Barbara with her husband, Andy and has taken a break from ministry as she raises her two children, Marlowe (age 3) and Levi (age 1).

Children’s Religious Education classes today. Following the Story for All Ages, preschool—5th grade will gather in Jefferson Hall for a children’s worship service.  6th-7th Graders will meet in La Paz Lounge.  Coming of Age will meet in Blake Lounge.  Childcare is available in Starr King.

Alliance General Meeting, January 6, 2 PM, Parish Hall. You may have a treasure and wonder what it's worth. Elizabeth Stewart, an appraiser of fine art and antiques, will discuss your treasure and others. Bring along something that you value and show it to Elizabeth. We will learn about this mysterious world of antiques. Refreshments K to Z.

Family Game Night. Saturday, January 7, 6-8 PM, Parish Hall. All welcome. Bring $5 per person for pizza and side or dessert to share.

The Unitarian Society Theatre Group's production of A Christmas Carol recorded beautifully and is available on CD in the office for only $10. All proceeds benefit our warming center. A classic for you'll want to own.

After Aesop: Stories for All Ages, The newly released book authored by Rev. Aaron McEmrys and the pilot project of our Rose Media Press is available for purchase in the Garden on Sundays. Book price of $32.35 includes tax!  Watch for details on a future book-signing event.
