UU Inquiry is held several times a month from 10:40 to 11 AM, in the Sanctuary. Join us in the reception office, Sunday, March 28, 2010.

The Unitarian Society has two Sunday Morning services at 9:30 and 11:30 AM. On Sunday, March 7, the Rev. Aarom McEmrys will speak. His topic is Treasure Map:2012.

Sunday's Music features Natash Kislenko playing Arietta by E.Grieg for the prelud and Etude in E flat major by S. Rachmaninoff for the postlude. Gail Fairburn will sing I Remember from Evening Primrose by Sondheim for the offertory.

Star Wars The Musical. Don't miss out on Star Wars The Musical, an original play by YRUU member Griffin Saxon. Show dates are Friday and Saturday, March 5 and 6 at 7:30 PM, Parish Hall. Admission is free, but donations will go to the 2011 YRUU New Orleans Trip. We hope to see you there!

Children’s Religious Education. Following the Story for All Ages, children will be excused to our special arts program in Jefferson Hall. During the months of February and March we will be exploring our UU Principles through art. Please dress your children for creative and messy participation for this program. Childcare available in Starr King for children under six.

Brunch Break Sunday! The yummy brunch Sunday morning is brought to you by members of the women’s choral group. $5 donation or $10 for a family. Enjoy!

Free Concert Sunday Features Helen Callus. Violist Helen Callus will play the first two of the famous six Suites for Cello by Bach Sunday at 3:00 PM.  Her colleague, Professor Derek Katz will talk about the life of Bach and the history of these masterworks in an open discussion with Helen.  Don’t miss this special event!

Knowing & Feeling our Church at a Deeper Level Please attend one of two opportunities to view a brief, informative and important presentation about the Unitarian Society, where it's headed, and how we might get there. Even if you've been a member for many years, we assure you that you will learn something and have some fun as well. Help fill Parish Hall between services at 10:45-11:25AM on March 14 and 21! Childcare and refreshments will be provided.

Warming Center Volunteers: Stop by the Social Justice Table in the garden for information about volunteering to assist with the Warming Center. Volunteers will be paired with an experienced staffer who will provide on site training. If you would like to contribute food or supplies please let us know! Please contact Emily Allen if you would like to help or have any questions.

Warming Center for Homeless: The Warming Center for Homeless has been operating here at the Unitarian Society during inclement weather, and will open again periodically as the weather dictates and the need arises. Visit our website, www.ussb.org, and click on “USSB in the News” for details of our response to this need.

Warming Center Donations. New or gently used sleeping bags, blankets, socks, jackets, and rain ponchos can be delivered to the garden on Sunday mornings. Tea bags, instant coffee packets, and energy bars are also greatly appreciated. Towel donations are no longer needed. Thank you. We will continue this collection as long as the warming center is open.

West Coast Regional People of Color Event. UUs of color from Seattle to San Diego will gather March 19-21 at the first West Coast DRUUMM conference at Throop UU Church in Pasadena. Pastoral Care: Everyone from time to time needs a little help from their friends. The minister and network of caregivers are here to help provide: counseling, home or hospital visits, rides, meals, essential errands. Call 965-4583 if you or another member you know needs assistance.
