The USSB Religious Education program is designed to both promote individual self-exploration and give children knowledge of UU values and principles. We are committed to providing an environment that encourages and empowers children to seek and to learn. For more information about our RE programs, please click here. If you have questions about Unitarian Universalist theology, religious education, pastoral concerns or other related topics, please contact our Assistant Minister, Rev. New to USSB?
We welcome newcomers throughout the year, and your family is welcome to visit any of our Religious Education classes. From September to May, we hold two services each Sunday morning, at 9:15 and 11:15 a.m. Classes for Preschool through 8th grade are held during Middle Hour from 10:15 to 11:10 a.m.
Sunday, June 26, 2016 marks the beginning of our Summer Sundays program; one service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Children and youth participate in a variety of whole-group activities during service. Childcare is available in Starr King from 9:45 to 11:30 a.m. The last single-service Sunday will be September 4. On September 11, we return to two services, one at 9:15 and one at 11:15.
The first day of Children’s RE kicks off with a Faith in Action activity for grades K-8 on Sunday, September 27.
Jena Foster, Director of Children’s Religious Education, can give you a short tour of the classrooms and show you where your child would go for class before church begins.
