Pianist Zeynep Ucbasaran returns to our Concert Series with a special program devoted entirely to the works of Chopin. The proceeds will benefit the Concert Progarm at the Society and help us continue with our goal of bringing outstanding artists to the community at very low cost. Zeynep is a distinguished concert pianist who started her music studies at age four at the Istanbul Conservatory. She has her Concert Artist Diploma from the Liszt Academy of Music, Budapest, where she studied under Prof. Katalin Nemes, pupil of Bela Bartok, and other noted artists. She received advanced graduate degrees in Piano from Hochschule für Musik, Freiburg, Germany, and she won the American Liszt Society Award. She has given many recitals in Turkey, Egypt, Hungary, Estonia, Belarus, Lithuania, Germany, England, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Slovenia and in this country. Ucbasaran has recorded a varied repertoire for Eroica Classical Recordings. Most recently, Naxos International has just released her recording of Turkish composer A. Saygun’s solo piano works.
