Upcoming Auctions Events Still Have Room!

Our annual auction is where our entire congregation comes to celebrate, meet old friends and new, and fill their social calendars with exquisite services and special events throughout the year, while raising important funds for our operating budget. But sometimes events don’t sell out, or plans change and seats open up at the last minute.

See if any of these events are right for you!

O110: Arroyo Hondo Hike/Lunch, Saturday, Feb. 24, 9:00 a.m.-2:00 pm.

The Arroyo Hondo Preserve is one of the best places to hike near Santa Barbara. We will walk about 3 or 4 miles over about two hours, all on paths or with boards to help ford the creek a few times, and not too steep. Then we will have lunch by the creek. Hosted by Bruce Hanna. $30

P122: “And the Oscar Goes To…” Sunday, March 4, 3:30-7:00-ish.

Let’s celebrate Oscar night together. Put on a favorite gown or suit, walk the red carpet, sip champagne, and vote on your favorite film, star, and song. Champagne and hors d’oeuvres served. Bring your favorite chocolate to share. $15

O111: Daylight Saving Hike, Sunday, March 11, 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

As time changes, come hike with us! We’ll hike Carpinteria’s newest trail – the Franklin Trail. We’ll go straight from church, caravan with us or meet us at the trail head at Carpinteria High School. Vegetarian lunch will be provided, with a couple of options. The hike is moderate – we will go slow, but this is a fairly rugged hike. Kids under 12 accompanied by an adult are free. $10

P124: Succulent Party, Saturday, March 17, 2:00 p.m.

Bring your own pot and pick succulents from my garden to fill it. Light refreshments will be served. $12

G112: Dessert & Floor Scrabble, Sunday, March 18, 7:00-9:30 p.m.

Play Scrabble with a team using large tiles. The game is lively and easy going and is followed by a delicious dessert. $20

P125: “What Doesn’t Kill You…” Sunday, March 18, 1:00 p.m.

Join us for an interesting discussion over lunch at Gun’s house. We will talk about a time when we felt challenged or frightened, injured or hurt. Then, turn the table and share how that experience led to unanticipated benefits. Note: There are stairs to my home. $25

O112: Spring Equinox Bonfire, Tuesday, March 20, 6:00-9:00 p.m.

Come celebrate longer days and the beginning of spring with a bonfire on the beach. Fire will be provided. You bring blankets, refreshments, and musical instruments. Kids under 12 accompanied by an adult are free. $10

P126: Wine, Women & Salad, Saturday, March 24, 6:00-9:00 p.m.

An evening for women to put on their comfiest clothes, let their hair down, and get to know each other. Bring your favorite salad bar topping. We’ll provide the rest of the salad fixings, bread, cheese, and, of course, wine and chocolate. $30
