Wake Now Our Vision Legacy Giving Challenge

WNOV Pledge Form

In an effort to increase legacy giving in UU congregations, The Unitarian Universalist Association, in coordination with the UU Congregation of Shelter Rock, NY, have collaborated to form the “Wake Now Our Vision” Legacy Giving Challenge.

Wake Now Our Vision Legacy Giving Challenge is a 10% match grant on the estimated value of each and every new legacy gift (up to $10,000) any congregation member or friend makes to The Unitarian Society of Santa Barbara.

This means that if you designate The Unitarian Society of Santa Barbara in your planned gift, we will receive a match of 10% of that gift in cash next year! This is free, no-strings-attached money for USSB!

Anyone can make a meaningful gift to Unitarian Society in their will. Regardless of the amount, your bequest is a statement of faith. Faith that our Unitarian Universalist movement and its voice for compassionate justice and religious freedom are important now—and will be important long after we are gone.

Matching funds will be available to USSB in fiscal year 2019-20. Funds are dispersed across UU congregations on a first-come-first-serve basis – and when they run out, these matching grants will go away.

For USSB to receive the match gift, we will need a copy of the portion of your will or trust indicating USSB as a beneficiary, and a supplemental WNOV Pledge Form. Pledge forms and gift information can be remitted to Erin Wilson, Director of Administration at erin@ussb.org or by mailing to our office at1535 Santa Barbara St. Santa Barbara, CA 93101

More information on the Wake Now Our Vision challenge can be found at www.wakenowourvision.org or by referring to the WNOV FAQs. You may also contact Erin Wilson at erin@ussb.org for more information.
